Amy's Story - From years of trying other therapy to finally finding what actually works for High functioning anxiety

Last updated: 21 September 2026

The before - anxious, perfectionist, people-pleasing, over giving, couldn't switch off.

Amy had tried therapy before, she had gone through her GP got access to talking therapy and CBT. She'd done the work she thought she was supposed to do she had shown up, talked it through and tried the strategies.

But despite this, something hadn't shifted. She still experienced crippling anxiety and a persistent sense of not measuring up that pushed her to work so hard. She was exhausted of carrying so much while wondering why none of it was getting lighter.

She arrived uncertain after having already tried things that hadn't really helped, it was understandable that she wondered if anything would.

What Shifted

Working with Emma through The Freedom Formula™ was a different experience from the start. Rather than textbook responses, I found someone who genuinely took the time to get to know me and what was actually driving things beneath the surface, not just what was presenting on top.

Then, in one session, something clicked. A moment of real understanding that reached somewhere previous approaches hadn't. The pattern that had been shaping her anxiety for years - a deep sense of not being enough - finally made sense and started to loosen its grip.

I genuinely didn't believe therapy could change things for me the way this has. But it has and in ways I didn't expect.

Emma doesn't just go through the motions. She takes the time to actually know you what you're experiences are, what your dealing with, what's really driving things and that makes such a difference.

It takes time but it does work and looking back, I wish I'd done it sooner.
