Hello I’m Emma.

I am so pleased that you are here because by being here it means that you are putting yourself first. Let me support you to invest in you and your emotional health and wellbeing.

Let me share a favourite quote of mine:

“If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.” Albert Einstein.

I take from this - that if we want something different then we have to do something different. So simple yet so very true. We cannot expect things to change and be different if we don't change what we do.

Therapy for anxiety

For many women, juggling professional success with personal fulfilment can be a recipe for high-functioning anxiety – the kind that hums beneath the surface but steadily erodes your sense of control and joy.

But it doesn't have to be this way. As a specialist therapist for women experiencing anxiety, and from my own personal experience - I know what works to help you get your life back from anxiety and it's my passion to support you in this pathway.

Often I see that my clients have been trying to figure out this pathway on their own, but because there is no one-size-fits-call approach - this can be difficult to navigate and doing it alone takes so much longer (my clients will attest to this in their reviews that you can read).

We'll work together to find a blend of therapeutic modalities that work well for you to support you in getting relief from anxiety sooner and simpler.

Therapy for anxiety can help you with:

1. Unearthing the Roots: Therapy isn't just about putting a Band-Aid on your symptoms. It's about exploring the underlying causes of your anxiety, the hidden triggers and thought patterns that keep it fueled. I will help you to understand their origins and break their hold on you.

2. Reshaping Your Thinking: Anxiety often thrives on negative thought spirals, catastrophising situations and painting worst-case scenarios in vivid hues. Therapy equips you with powerful strategies to change your thought patterns to more empowering, optimistic and empowering ones. This weakens the grip of anxiety on your mind.

3. Mastering Your Emotions: Anxiety is physical and can cause a whole host of very uncomfortable symptoms. Racing heart, churning stomach, and tight muscles – these are just a few of the ways anxiety manifests in the body. Therapy teaches you ways to master and regulate your nervous system so that you can bring your body and mind back into equilibrium.

4. Building Resilient Strategies: Life is full of unavoidable challenges, and anxiety can make them feel insurmountable. Therapy empowers you with coping skills to navigate difficult situations with confidence. You get the opportunity to learn effective communication techniques, assertiveness skills, boundary setting and problem-solving strategies that equip you to handle whatever life throws your way so that you feel able to cope.

5. Reconnecting with Yourself: Anxiety can really issolate you from yourself and others and it can feel a lonely place to be. Therapy creates a safe space for you to reconnect with your self. You'll have the opportunity to explore your values, rediscover your passions, and rebuild a sense of self-compassion and self-acceptance.

You don't have to be alone in this journey. Therapy is an investment in your well-being, a path towards reclaiming your life and rediscovering the joy that anxiety has dimmed.

Working with Emma has been one of the best decisions and best investments I have made for myself. I wish I had done it sooner. Having a trained professional to support you is a totally different experience to self-help, and in my case, far more effective, and this is the value in investing in therapy.
